Seanele is officially a thumbsucker @ 3 mos.

Yes!!! And At times, she put her 2 thumbs inside her mouth!
One side of me wants her to stop, the other side of me wants her to do anything she wants - as a baby. Almost every adult told me to get her to stop the habit because they say it is a sign of insecurity. I didn’t listen ofcourse. I let Shang2 be. whenever she put her thumb in her mouth, It's a pleasure seeing her. I mean she's a baby yeheay!

Thumbsucker according to an article I've read is simply a natural reflex. It is not a sign of insecurity or emotional problem. Some babies do it even while they are still INSIDE the uterus. So much for old wives’ tales - sucks!.

Wide awake

This is an article I read yesterday and I found it very helpful to women who are holding on to a kind of relationship which is not worth it….

Most of us have been brainwashed since birth to believe that we can not do without a man. And therefore we should accept any terms to make room for one.
Women have been raised to believe that they should always be generous, compassionate and forgiving to everyone. But while I agree that there are situations in life that call for us to exercise these qualities as human beings, I cannot agree to women becoming pushovers and doormats to men.
Women should learn to assert themselves-even if this is negatively viewed by men. Because the less we assert, the more vulnerable to abuse we become. Women should learn to tell myth from reality. Women should be able to tell when a man is lying.
More importantly, women should find the courage to emasculate the philanderers and pathologic liars in their lives by accepting them for who they are and leaving them for good.
This is not to say that there are no good men. The reality, however, is that there are few of them. So if you are a young intelligent woman today who aspires to live happily ever after, the odds are formidably up against you if you vow to love only one man for the rest of your life and go a step further by legally binding yourself to him.
Why is it more difficult for an intelligent woman to stay happily married? Because an intelligent woman demands from her partner a commensurate contribution to the relationship. She will not stand for an absentee spouse or partner. She will not tolerate infidelity. She will not accept irresponsibility or lack of integrity. She will not stand for lies, laziness and lame excuses. She will not accept inequality of relationship.
In the end, all women eventually make trade-offs to keep their marriage. The formula for longevity in marriage or any kind of partnership for that matter, after all, is good old-fashioned compromise.
